In a nod to cinematic history, the Sankara Stones from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" make a surprising appearance in Luthen's Shop on Coruscant in "Andor". This clever Easter egg exemplifies the longstanding friendship between Steven Spielberg and George Lucas, who have a rich legacy of referencing each other’s work. Fans might recall the moment in "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", where a child dressed as Yoda for Halloween served as a playful homage to Lucas’s Star Wars saga. There have been numerous other instances as well.

Happy Birthday Robert DiNero! 🎂

"You talkin' to me?"

Robert De Niro was among the actors considered for the role of Han Solo in "Star Wars", but he turned it down, which eventually went to Harrison Ford. Though specific reasons for his decision are unclear, the same year, De Niro starred in the musical drama "New York, New York", directed by Martin Scorsese. This film marked the beginning of a long and storied collaboration between De Niro and Scorsese, leading to iconic films such as "Taxi Driver", "Raging Bull", and "Goodfellas", and solidifying their significant impact on American cinema.
