In case you missed it, 2025 is the Year of Coffee ☕️ for Tulsa Places, when we’re highlighting a different Tulsa-area coffee shop each month. Naturally, we made it to ❤️. Topeca is known for its seed-to-cup ethos. Did you know that founder John Gaberino is seventh generation of the founding family? 🤯 No wonder so many local establishments in choose to brew Topeca! 💯

Bernie tried an espresso with a lavender poppyseed scone (📸 2), and I had a chai tea latte with a peach muffin (📸3). The drinks were hot and smooth, and the pastries were delicious. 😋

Topeca has three locations in the heart ❤️ of downtown Tulsa. We went to the Philcade Tower location. I love the history of that building but was sad to see that the lobby is inaccessible to visitors. The other Topeca locations are in the Vast Bank downtown lobby and Hyatt Regency lobby.

I recommend all of Topeca’s locations, and that you take a bag or three home 🏡 with you!

Well, the year is already officially more than halfway over… what coffee shops do we still need to hit up, Tulsans?

Had the best time stopping by in Owasso today. ☕️ 💚 I was truly impressed by this adorable and comfy coffee shop that has been in downtown Owasso for 14 months now. Chloe was very welcoming and showed me the list of their unique handmade syrups. I chose an iced latte with coconut brûlée syrup, and it was divine! I also liked the special touch for “for here” orders: a glass for my iced coffee and a glass straw!

I highly recommend this great locally-owned coffee shop and will be back next time I’m in !

Is it just me, or does it seem like new sushi restaurants are popping up all over ? I loved my first experience at 🍱! I am a huge fan of bento boxes, so my friend and I each tried a different one. 🍣 She tried the Sushi Bento (📸4) - California Roll and 6 pieces of Sushi - Chef’s choice, and I tried the Maki Roll Bento (📸5)- California Roll and Baked Eel Roll. The bento boxes are only available at lunchtime and dine in only. They are served with a tasty salad and gyozo.

Our June Coffee Stop ☕️ led us to south Tulsa to one of my favorite places, 💚 In case you’ve missed it, this is the Year of Coffee for me and Bernie, and we’re trying a different coffee shop each month.

Bernie tried an iced vanilla latte, and I tried the flat white. Both were delicious and way better than any coffee chain! Bernie also bought a bag of their coffee beans and a gift card! And we split the quiche with turkey and caramelized onions. So good! 🥚 😋

Brice’s originally started in Port Elizabeth, South Africa in 2007 and recently transplanted to Tulsa! Bringing the unique and delicious flavors right here to ! On a previous visit, I tried an iced coffee with Ubuntu syrup (flavors of caramel, pecans, chocolate, and coconut) and the Cobblestone Bar. Both were so sweet and delicious! ☕️ 😋

What a delight to have this unique bakery and coffee shop in Tulsa! 🇿🇦 🥐 ☕️ Be sure to go support this local business!

I tried for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! I had the Chicken Fiesta Salad … the grilled chicken was cooked to perfection and served with an incredibly fresh combination of veggies inside a taco bowl. They did not skimp on the avocado 🥑 either. My friend tried the Pollo a La Parilla - marinated and grilled chicken breast with onions, peppers and melted cheese, served with rice and refried beans. We both loved our meals, as well as the complimentary queso and delicious salsa. We added to our “to do” list to try their happy hour soon! $5 margs 🍹 Mon-Fri 2-6 pm! 🌮 🌯 💃

Hero librarians at South Broken Arrow Library today… we went there to escape our house with no power, and it turns out, their power is out too! But are they closed? Nope! The librarians are writing down the info of books being checked out in the near dark! It was actually a fun adventure for me and the kids. I really appreciate our local librarians and their dedication! 🦸

Our 15th anniversary date was truly one of the most unique meals we’ve ever had! is such a fun experience, allowing guests to grill Korean barbecue at their own table. The meats were definitely the highlight, though the quail egg and cotton candy that another table shared with us were pretty unforgettable as well. If you want the full experience of what Mr. Kim’s has to offer, you may as well go for The Baller (Chef’s Tasting), which lands a huge selection of appetizers and a wide range of meats on your platter. Our favorites were the cod and wagyu. Such a fun way to celebrate another trip around the sun with my beloved 🥰❤️! Yet another creative concept from 👏
