Such a sweet morning at Tulsa Zoo 🐵🦭 It’s days like this that refresh and energize. I absolutely love that the lion 🦁 fountain from my childhood has made a comeback! The snow leopard had a bonding moment with my son. 💙 We saw the new otter 🦦 for the first time. My dad came to the Zoo for the first time since I was a kid! 🤩

Not only are the local coffee shops THE BEST, but they are also the nicest, most caffeinated, and sometimes … least expensive!!!! Thank you Rocket Brothers for keeping me fully caffeinated all day long with your version of an iced shaken espresso for just under $4. Plus, sometimes the best coffee “shop” is the one where you don’t have to leave your car. ❤️

Road trip on Route 66 for 6/6/26! 🚙🚗
The Route 66 Chics 🐥 grabbed our guys and had a road trip to Bristow today! We’ve been hitting up a different restaurant along the Mother Road each month this year for its Centennial celebration. 🥳

Right along Route 66, you’ll find Anchor 66 ⚓️, known for its creative and humongous burgers. Ken and I agreed, the Oklahoma Twister 🌪️ was one for the books… so messy but worth every bite and the stains on my clothes 😆 Bernie loved her Brunch Burger - “It has an actual hash brown in it!” Devon said the flavor profile of the Cowboy Burger was “multi-faceted” between the onion ring, sauce, meat, and sweet sauce. The fries and onion rings were very tasty as well.

✨ New restaurant alert! ✨

We stopped by and can already tell it’s going to become a favorite. From the chic, inviting atmosphere to the outstanding service, everything was on point—and the food definitely delivered! 🤩

📸 2: Jalapeño-Infused Margarita 🌶️🍹 — the perfect mix of spicy and refreshing.

📸 3: French Chicken 🍗 — sous vide chicken breast with house spices, beurre blanc, French fries, and a mixed greens salad. This chicken was unbelievably tender and packed with flavor!

📸 4: Kapalua Chicken 🍍 — marinated chicken breast topped with grilled pineapple pico, served with steamed broccoli and whipped Idaho potatoes. The sweet-and-savory flavors worked so well together, and the sauce took it to the next level.

If you’re looking for a new date night spot, lunch destination, or excuse to treat yourself, The Bradford Grill is worth adding to your list! 🙌

My little dude and I checked out the Route 66 Historical Village at 3770 Southwest Blvd. in Tulsa. We are SO excited about the Route’s Centennial and getting as many passport stamps as we can!🚗🚙

The Route 66 Historical Village is one of those spots that instantly makes you feel nostalgic. From the massive oil derrick towering over Southwest Boulevard to the vintage train cars, restored steam engine, and old-school Phillips 66-style station, this place perfectly captures Tulsa’s deep roots in oil, railroads, and the Mother Road. Plus, we got to see the new “Welcome to Tulsa” sign up close.

It’s FREE to explore, packed with photo ops, and honestly feels like stepping back in time. Whether you’re a Route 66 enthusiast or just looking for a unique Tulsa stop, this hidden gem is worth the visit.

A guest Route 66 Chic 🐥 joined the mix today! My gal pal joined me at Parsia Mediterranean Grill at 2615 E. 11th st, and let me tell you, it is a must stop along Route 66! Tulsa Places has been exploring restaurants along the Mother Road 🚙 in celebration of its Centennial! 🎉

Parsia is what one might call a hole-in-the-wall … the BEST kind of culinary discoveries 🍴✨

Check out the colorful, fresh grilled veggies on Beth’s Veg Plate 🌈🥗 My shawarma sandwich was absolutely humongous — and the meat was so tender and delicious. It was enough for two meals — no joke. They even brought us some chicken to sample, and honestly… phenomenal. 🤤

Tulsa needs more Mediterranean food like this! So happy we discovered Parsia, and we’ll definitely be back. ❤️
