✨ Exhibition opening this week!

Visit The Barn at West Horsley Place from Wednesday 20th August onwards to see a photography exhibition documenting the creative outcomes of Time & Place — a site-specific arts and training project led by DAiSY in collaboration with theatre maker Geraldine Pilgrim.

Throughout spring 2025, disabled artists from The Meath Epilepsy Charity, Freewheelers and Head2Head Sensory Theater participated in a series of workshops led by acclaimed theatre-maker and site-specific performance pioneer, Geraldine Pilgrim. Staged within the historic West Horsley Place, participants explored themes of place, memory, and transformation.

🧑‍🎨 Third DAiSYFest opportunity for our wonderful DAiSY~Chain artists! 🧑‍🎨

💭 We’re inviting artists to propose exciting, inclusive workshops for DAISY-Fest 2025, a free community festival celebrating creativity, inclusion and disability arts. DAISY-Fest will bring people of all ages and abilities together for a joyful day of art, performance and connection.

🖇️ Theme: Connections
We want to deliver three workshops that reflect the richness of theme ‘Connections’ in all its forms - from stories of human relationships to reflections on identity, environment, community, or technology.

👁️ What kind of workshop are we looking for?
- Accessible – welcoming and inclusive for disabled and non-disabled participants
- Creative – involving any artform: visual arts, music, dance, drama, poetry, craft, digital, etc.
- Community-focused – suitable for a range of ages and experiences
- A workshop that is 45–60 minutes long

💸 What you’ll receive:
- A fee of £150, plus materials and transport costs within reason
- An initial meeting to explore the idea and outline expectations
- Support from staff or a volunteer the day

We’re looking for art that responds to this theme in imaginative, and personal ways – from stories of human relationships to reflections on identity, environment, community, or technology

👁️ What we’re looking for

- 2D or wall-based artwork (painting, photography, illustration, mixed media, digital, etc.) This can be existing work or an idea for a new piece
- Work that speaks to the theme of Connections
- Submissions from d/Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent artists living or working in Surrey or surrounding areas.
