A quick update on what's going on at the Cross Plains Review. The printing plant we’ve used for years is closing, so we’ve made the move to a new printing location. What does that mean for you? The paper will now be ready on Wednesday afternoons instead of Wednesday mornings. We’re grateful for your understanding and support—and we’re excited to keep bringing you the news that keeps our community connected, just a little later in the day!
Our office is open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, allthough Wednesday may change. Deadline is Monday at 5 p.m. Reach out and let us know what you have going on - we're always looking for news!

The Fort Worth Astronomical Society is returning on Saturday! Come look at the sun through solar telescopes, then head to the library to learn how to watch a meteor shower! Just in time as the annual Perseid Meteor Shower is in mid - August! A raffle will be held after the program. Everyone is welcome!

UPDATED If you missed seeing the boxing gloves today -- we will be around in the morning (Saturday), from 9 until about noon....We will have Robert Howard’s boxing gloves at the Review in the morning! Stop by and see them — or come and take a second look at them! We’ll be there from 9 am-noon. Register to win a commemorative Howard Days blanket and get a free coaster. We have t-shirts and other Howard souvenirs— wine bags, mouse pads, keychains, bottle beer openers, slap koozies, bookmarks… maybe even coffee mugs. Look forward to seeing everyone!
