Had a lunch date with one of my best girlfriends and when she told me that we could get crazy good Puerto Rican food for a GREAT price I said "where you lead, I will follow." Don Guillo was delicious. It's a small spot in SE Colorado Springs and dear GOD it was good. I loved the fried pork, and the chicken cracklings were so flavorful. Personally I love getting both the sweet plantains and tostones for both savory/sweet as a side, but you also can't go wrong with their rice or mofongo. I didn't try an empanada but they looked incredible. Have you been there?

When my dear friend told me she was starting a microbakery called Sourdough and Sugar (instagram.com/sourdoughandsugar) I remembered every baked good I've ever ate from her and said "Say less. I'll take one of everything." And when I say everything was good, I truly mean it - and this is coming from someone who is a sourdough snob. The cookies were absolutely INSANE delicious 🍪 Chewy, soft, and the perfect flavor. AND I cannot recommend the sourdough loaf enough. I ate SO many sandwiches the week I had this loaf 🍞 I also gifted some of the banana bread to one of my clients and let's just say I think I'm their favorite now 🙃

Ordering is weekly on Instagram from Friday to Monday, for pick up the following Friday. (i.e. order through EOD on Sept. 1 for pickup on Sept. 5). My advice? ORDER THE ENTIRE MENU.
