đŸ–€Camille is out of town, so stepped in as my plus one for Sundays are for Detroit presented by .

I shopped some forever faves like Kiloh & Co., Ferne Boutique, and / , and Ari worked on his social skills like a champ—complete with meeting Chloe at Becco Bags (huge win).

I also found some very cute new-to-me shops as I rebuild my life post fire/flood: Clothed Boutique, stickers from , custom embroidered bag scarf from Creology, and Cosmakery makeup.

And of course we noshed—chocolate covered strawberries from , plus custom cookies from (my .jah1._ cookie!!!) and Gather and Graze Charcuterie Bites.

That same night, I tapped into my inner Barbie for this look—working within some real-life limitations after the fire and flood at my condo complex. Fashion still finds a way.

and are the definition of effortlessly chic. They simply do not miss. If you don’t know them yet, it’s time. I’m hoping to make a trip to Hirshleifers soon—maybe as my super treat once life fully settles back into normal. I did get Camille and I a couple of pieces online for the holidays.

🎉Now that the holidays are over, I know some parents may have missed the mark with blind boxes. Don’t worry—I’ve got you covered with authentic, confirmed Pop Mart pendants (yes, you know exactly what you’re getting).

With the Pop Mart shops now open at The Somerset Collection and Twelve Oaks Mall, buying confirmed is honestly even more worth it. Spending almost $40 for a 1/6 chance—or worse depending on the collection—just isn’t it in this economy.

đŸ–€Like many, 2025 was a year of loss.
In the first four months alone, I lost four people who meant the world to me. I spent my birthday at my mentor’s memorial service, and a week and a half later, I was laid off. By June, everything I thought was stable shifted—my mindset, my direction, my life.

I pulled back from relationships that no longer served me and started focusing on what was next. Then came the fire. The flood. Getting sick from mold. PTSD. Losing so much of what I owned. Right before Christmas, Jeff #2 lost his dad. Life just
 kept life-ing.

I now live with my mum and brother, because I’ve realized that now more than ever, they are the ones who will get me through this—along with a tight circle of friends. What I did gain was perspective. Clarity on who and what actually matters. And the reminder that I’m not alone in any of this, even when it feels unbearably isolating.

If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably wondering what this shoe has to do with anything.
It’s my “push through” gift to myself—the present I bought for the day my world feels stable again. I’m hopeful that in 2026, I will no longer be the Black woman in a terrible Tyler Perry film. I will have a full-time job and my own home.

Thank you for hunting these down for me. I searched across the country for these cuties.
