Stage 7 of Avec Zwift already!

First proper test of the climbing legs and my driving as I was tasked at taking the car. was on the moto today so I was on my own.

Made the cut and risked it shooting Col du Béal and the finish.

Stage 4 Avec Zwift.

Big day! I love it when you find a spot on Google maps and you get there and it’s exactly what you imagined. Which is the case with the first image.

Almost bagged a sunflower shot with the yellow jersey but missed it by a minute. Tomorrow is another day.

Stage 4 of Avec Zwift.

With the men’s tour now finished we had a bump in the number of photographers at the race today. I swapped drivers from to , the other half of .

I’d car shared with back in 2022 when I last covered . We had just two spots to get to today the first a little town which I used up some of my swag to decorate the crowd with caps.

The second was the town of Richelieu which I’d flagged because of the gate house. It was going to be the perfect place to shoot individual riders through the arch. I’m happy to report it worked like a charm!

Stage 3 of Avec Zwift.

It always surprises me just how hard this job is. All the preparation in the world can’t diffuse the chaos that is chasing bike races.

We got everything we needed today but don’t get me wrong it wasn’t easy. Road blocks, unreasonable Gendarme and traffic jams.

In the end it all came together in a perfect little ball of nervous energy and I loved it! Thanks for driving and keeping the dream alive, we did good today 🙌

Stage 2 of avec Zwift.

Yesterday’s late start paired with a 2 hour transfer in the morning made for an early day. Still buzzing from a super exciting first stage I stayed up waaaayyy too late editing.

The preparation that goes into planning a day on tour is intense, especially since I’ve been looking forward to getting this project started for ages!

But with all the planning it was I gritty underpass out of the start town of Brest that I was most happy with.

In contrast the second spot that I was really keen on became difficult because there were too many options. A good problem to have but it can really make you second guess your choices.

All in all a good day on Tour and seeing the emotions from really summed up how much this stage win meant.

day one. Such a privilege to be back in Europe shooting the biggest bike races and wow today was amazing. Started off a little stressful getting stuck behind the race with the old clouds of dread about missing the finish.

The skies cleared and after swapping some swag for a spot up high on the back of a truck only to discover the surrounding crowd was laced with smoke bombs things just kept getting better!

Massive thanks to and for having me along as their official photographer. After everything that’s happened in the last few years being back shooting bike races feels like closing the door on a chapter that I’ll file as the injury years. Upwards on onward.
