Hey friends, it’s time for an update. 💬

1. This year has been a rollercoaster ride, and I want to share where I’ve been personally and where we’re headed as a company. This Friday… we’re launching Lark Media MERCH!!! 🌈🎥

2. This year has brought incredible highs—moments of success and creativity. 🙌🏽 But it also tested us in ways we never expected. Some days, we felt like giving up. 💔 We started production on THREE indie films, none of which are in a position to bring in revenue yet BUT they do what we set out to do: change the world through film.

When I felt like giving up, I looked at my mom who channeled her grief of losing her husband into preserving a historic building into a museum in her home country of Liberia. Because when things get hard, WE GO HARDER. 💪🏽

So what inspired this launch? Well, Lark Media is for EVERYONE, and this is our way of reaching more of you in hopes of inspiring you to go forth and tell stories that will shape the world into a better, more equal place for us all to thrive.

Environmental injustice is worth the fight!

Lark Media was honored to tell the stories of Sapelo Island, home of the resilient and hospitable Gullah Geechee people for the New Georgia Project (NPG)’s Black + Green Agenda.

NGP partnered with Patagonia to empower and defend Black and rural communities of Georgia impacted by environmental racism and climate change.

Happy Independence Day!

As we celebrate freedom take a look behind the scenes of Septymber recording “Hit the Road Jack” by for our documentary Sweet Auburn Blues.

She killed it! Her voice took us back to neighborhood that was home to some of the most influential Civil Rights Leaders, including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We loved the opportunity of telling this impactful story!
