If you grew up listening to Nu Metal, you already know how hard it is to pick just five songs. 🤘🔥

Nu Metal has been one of my favorite genres for many years, and it still is. These are 5 of the most successful and iconic songs from the genre:

• “In the End” — Linkin Park (2000)
• “Freak on a Leash” — Korn (1998)
• “Chop Suey!” — System Of A Down (2001)
• “Last Resort” — Papa Roach (2000)
• “Break Stuff” — Limp Bizkit (1999)

They’re all great songs, but honestly… they’re far from being the best. 😅

🤘 Linkin Park has been one of my favorite bands for as long as I can remember. Their ability to blend Nu Metal, alternative rock, electronic elements, and even pop into something unique is simply incredible. 🔥

Losing Chester Bennington was devastating. His voice was one of a kind, and his legacy will live forever. 🖤

The band's comeback with Emily Armstrong has been absolutely crushing! 🤘 She brought her own style while respecting Linkin Park's legacy, and From Zero is a phenomenal album. In my opinion, Linkin Park has also been one of the driving forces behind the 2025–2026 Nu Metal revival. ⚡🎸

"The Reckoning" is one of my all-time favorite Iced Earth songs. A crushing Power Metal anthem featuring the incredible vocals of Tim "Ripper" Owens (ex-Judas Priest), who delivers an absolutely phenomenal performance.
The song appears on the band's 2004 album The Glorious Burden, a true masterpiece from start to finish. Ripper absolutely kills it on every single track, bringing unmatched power, range, and intensity.
In my opinion, this album is an underrated gem that never gets the appreciation it truly deserves.

2025 has been a heavy year.
We’ve suffered giant losses — artists we loved, respected, and grew up with. It’s been painful.
But metal never truly dies. Their legacy lives on forever through their music, and it will keep walking beside us, loud and proud.

At the same time, 2025 has unleashed an absolute avalanche of killer metal albums, coming from every corner of the genre and all its subgenres.
I tried to narrow it down… made several lists… but the names kept piling up.

Still, these four records kept standing tall every single time.
For me, they are the undisputed Top 4 Metal Albums of 2025:
