Heather Nova, The Sorrowjoy

revisits the landscapes of her youth in the mountains of Georgia. She documents the places of powerful beauty that seem like the edge of the world, inhabited by simple men and strong women.
Our favorite is "The village of the mice" black & white series, shot at Natela's native village, taking the viewer back to the Soviet era of the late 80s and early 90s. We definitely recommend looking for those images in her feed.
