I’m a wife, mama, and homesteader learning as I go—growing food, raising animals, and making the most of what we have. I believe in hard work, home-cooked meals, and slowing down to enjoy the little things. Sharing our journey so others know they can do it too. ❤️

My garden is producing more squash than we can keep up with, so tonight we're turning some of that harvest into crispy, golden squash fritters. 🏡🌱

One of my favorite things about gardening is finding new ways to turn simple ingredients into something the whole family loves. These fritters are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and a great way to use up extra summer squash.

The majority of people would appreciate their food a whole lot more if they knew how hard it was to grow it.

Months of work, unpredictable weather, pests, weeds, failures, and patience—all for a harvest that can be wiped out in a single storm.

Growing your own food changes the way you look at every meal. It certainly changed me.

YALLL I have NEVER seen a zinnia like this!!! Look how beautiful!!! I told my girls this flower is off limits because I’m saving those seeds 😂

My flowers bring me just as much joy as my veggies!! 🌼

Also pictured is my Sunday afternoon harvest! Everything is starting to produce super good and I also forgot that I planted a white scallop squash. So that was a pleasant surprise. 🥰

I hope each of you have had a blessed Sunday. God is so good. ❤️

Most people harvest sweet corn at the wrong time…. 🌽

The secret isn’t the size of the ear—it’s knowing exactly what to look for.

A few weeks ago, I knew absolutely nothing about bees. 🐝

Now I'm learning that every hive has its own personality, bees can sense your energy, and somehow standing in the middle of thousands of buzzing insects is one of the most relaxing parts of my day.

Today I checked my hive and found capped brood, larvae, eggs, honey, and some new comb being built. I also decided to add another box to give them more room to grow—but I'm still learning, so tell me... did I make the right call?

If you're a beekeeper, drop your best beginner tips below! ⬇️🐝

my absolute favorite shirt ever ❤️

I started creating fun designs about 6 months ago with the intention of making everything impactful. I create things that will support and encourage others to make a change. Whether it’s growing a tomato, supporting local farms, or just representing their homesteading/farming lifestyle.

Purchasing a t-shirt helps support our small farm && helps me keep on creating fun farm wear that means something ❤️

You can use code: Change15 for 15% off your entire order 🌼

If you don’t want to purchase, I would be forever grateful if you could share this post!! 🫶🏼

My flower gardens are just as important to me as my vegetable garden.

Sure, flowers don’t fill my freezer or stock my pantry, but they feed something just as important.

They bring in pollinators that help my fruits and vegetables thrive. They attract beneficial insects that help keep pests under control. They provide food for bees, butterflies, and other wildlife that are all part of a healthy ecosystem.

But beyond that, they feed my heart.

In a world that constantly tells us everything has to be productive, flowers remind me that beauty has value too. They give me a reason to slow down, notice the seasons changing, and appreciate the little things. Also nothing is more fun than taking your little girls to go pick flowers every single day during the summer. 💜

Not everything on a homestead has to serve a practical purpose. Sometimes it’s enough that it brings joy.

So yes, I’ll always make room for flowers right alongside the tomatoes, peppers, and beans. 🌸🤍
