"Love Letters" Now Streaming on GuideDoc!

This documentary tells the remarkable love story of Bellingham-born professor and feminist scholar Catharine R. Stimpson and Australian musicologist Elizabeth Wood. The film chronicles Wood's landmark legal victory in the 1970s to gain custody of her children. Now in their eighties, these women reflect on an era when living and loving authentically was itself a radical act.

Wood's victory established the precedent that le***an mothers could not be deemed unfit parents based on their sexual orientation, securing their life together as a family for the next five decades. Today, both women share their story to inspire younger generations in their ongoing struggles against systemic inequality.
