Linda Smit Wildlife Impressions The beauty of nature has always amazed me. For me photography is about trying to capture and hold on to emotions and moments that moved me the most.

On my way back to Tamboti Camp, I came across this little hyena sitting by the roadside, watching the cars rush by 🐾
So many people passed without noticing him, everyone focused on reaching Orpen Gate before closing.
I enjoyed watching him, his dark puppy eyes truly touched my soul ❤️ He looked so curious, yet so vulnerable.
Moments like this are a gentle reminder that we’re guests in their home. Every life here matters, slow down, look closer, and show respect for the wild ❤️🌍

Driving through Kruger alone as a woman with a camera, following my dreams and my passion, to witness and protect Africa’s endangered wildlife. What started as a cold misty morning ended in following one of Africa's most endangered carnivore, a pack of wild dogs 🙏❤️

My first wildlife showreel is finally here! 🤩
After countless hours of filming, selecting shots, editing clips and finding the perfect music, it’s a project I’m truly proud of.
Every frame is a moment that reminded me why I fell in love with the wild 🥰

Solo Female Safari Adventure - Kruger National Park 🐾
An early morning at Tamboti, thick mist, silence and then chaos.. A pack of wild dogs, faces still bloody from the hunt, racing through the bush. One of the craziest mornings I’ve ever experienced alone in the wild.

Join me on my solo self-drive adventure through Kruger National Park, from Satara to Tamboti — a day filled with baby elephants, golden ligh and my first lion sighting!

I’ll be spending three months in Kruger National Park, filming and photographing wildlife.
Two of those months I’ll be working with the Endangered Wildlife Trust’s Lion Survey Team, helping monitor and document Northern Kruger’s incredible lion population.

This journey is all about immersing myself in the wild, capturing authentic moments from life in the bush, from quiet mornings on the road to unforgettable encounters with Africa’s most iconic animals.

📸 Expect wildlife photography, behind-the-scenes, fieldwork and the daily reality of living in the bush as a solo female traveler.

Last week felt like a dream ✨
I had the honour of being invited to the prestigious Siena Photo Awards — a festival set in the heart of beautiful Tuscany, Italy.

With my photo of western lowland gorilla Awali, I received a ‘commended’ award in the Siena Creative Awards. 🦍💫

During three magical evenings of the festival, a breathtaking video was projected onto the Palazzo Pubblico and the Torre del Mangia. It was such an incredible honour to see my photo of Awali included in the show — lighting up Siena’s iconic tower. 🌙✨

It was truly inspiring to connect with so many talented and kind photographers — a community that lifts each other up. The Siena Awards team made us feel incredibly welcome.

I’ve fallen in love with Siena, a city where beauty hides around every corner. Grateful for the memories, the inspiration, and the wonderful new friends made along the way. ♥️

Congratulations to all winners — your work is beyond inspiring! 🙌
