I've recently felt the need to put an AI disclaimer on my website.
Yes, yes. Ai bad, thinking good 💛
Don't get me wrong. I do make use of AI to help me with grammar and spelling. English is my second language, and I need to deliver professional work. I can't have my clients' profiles read like it's their first day on the internet, and English is their second language, too 😂My English runs out of airtime okay!
But design... design is a different story.
I've put in the hours of manually removing backgrounds with my finger or mouse to import them into a different design program. (Back in the day you know) I've learnt about blending modes and layers to get the best results. When I started, I didn't have the luxury of just pushing a button and voila!
Now we get templates and programs like ChatGpt that can create a poster or flyer in minutes. It's really not my style and everything looks the same. I shudder to think of the scams currently happening in South Africa, and around the globe.
Think about it, anyone can steal your logo and make a poster for whatever they want - if you solely use ai to design your marketing content, you are in for a wild ride ..... and also, good luck with that.
Originality gets lost, what you are trying to put out into the world gets obstructed by bad design.
Do I think that Ai is going to take my job 😂😂😂😂 NO
Do I want you to know that some of my clients use Ai to do their own thing sometimes .... Absolutely yes.
🌿 The pic I've used for this post is leaves from a friend. How beautiful are they? My heart beats happy beats every time I look at them. I am also trying to write more copy without the use of Ai, so if you're reading this and you spot mistakes, that's just my second language failing me.
