In 1985, paramedic Chris Botha was among the first to respond to the devastating Amanzimtoti bombing, rushing into smoke and flames to rescue injured children.

Decades later, after a distinguished career spanning fire services, private ambulance work and Netcare 911, he bids farewell to Kingsway High School, where he spent his final years caring for thousands of learners.

A paramedic adds a new dimension to the Sanlam Centre bombing of 1985. His time at Kingsway as a paramedic is coming to an end.
