The North Coast Courier (established 1985) is a free weekly community newspaper published by Wordsmiths (Pty) Ltd, serving the fast-growing Dolphin Coast region north of Durban. Based in the holiday town of Ballito, the Courier is the medium of choice for retail, classified and legal advertising throughout the Ilembe district municipal region. There are regular supplements on education, motoring,

agriculture, health, home improvements etc. and a variety of advertorial packages for business promotions. Wordsmiths (Pty) Ltd became a joint venture with Caxton Printing and Publishing in 2006. The North Coast Courier page is a platform for positive engagement on topical issues relevant to the North Coast community. Patience is a virtue!!

Ballito resident Bob Campbell shared this fun photo of Tux the cat and dogs Twix and Muddy patiently waiting for their turn at dinnertime.

Described as "real characters," Tux (aged between 4-6), Pomeranian cross Yorkie, Twix (7), and springer spaniel, Muddy (7), belong to Bob's son Mark, who lives at Dunkirk Estate.
