Another wasteful expenditure by of Mbombela Municipality 🚨

The water reservoir on the pictures was built by the municipality and the community was told that it’s purpose is to assist with water shortage in Barberton (Ward 42) but unfortunately it’s been standing there for years without being utilised by the community

In the meantime Our dam is at 96% but there are areas without water some still experience water cut off.

Just In 🚨

Ward 41 Residents are calling for The Executive Mayor Makushe-Mazibuko to prioritise the bridge between extension 8(grayville) and ext 10 as it is in a state of collapsing as a result water supply to Grayvlle and Phase 2, city of Mbombela municipality is aware of the issue even though it took them several visits by Community members to come and do a temporary solution with the issue of pipes that is supplying water to the residents of grayville and phase2.

Today they did came to do a temporary fix until a permanent solution is done. Residents can expect water tonight or tomorrow in their households as the municipality workers are on sight. We will follow up on the permanent solution. We Thank all dedicated municipality workers that are currently on site.

hey I am lettie from Barberton working at estandini restaurant and butchery near usave

so today I got scammed by a guy who say his a police man at Barberton policestation his Name he is PS Nkosi
so this is what happened he called here at the restaurant wanted to order food and he said he was referred by a well-known costumer

so he said because he is in a meeting we can talk via WhatsApp fine he texted and said they are 15 so he want 6 plates of chicken and 9 plates of beef plus 15 drinks
after some few minutes he asked how much is the order I tell him that it's R1350 he said okay
he text again asking how long will it takes I tell him
after he text again asking for us to buy him 2x500 voucher and send him them he will give driver I went and bought the voucher trusting that he's a police man and they usually order here it's not the first time
so I send the voucher to him then he asked again about the order I told him that his order is out

the driver went yo the police station with the order Barberton policestation when he get there he ask for Sargent PS Nkosi they said they don't know him when we try to call him he is no longer answering 😒
the driver came back with the food and the money for the voucher is gone

83-year-old Chief Tikhontele Dlamini of the Lomshiyo Tribal Authority has died.
Chief Tikhontele made news headlines in 2022 after he was arrested and charged with the murder of his own son, Zwelithini Dlamini who was executed on 4 January 2021 in his home in Matsulu.
My Barberton online has reliably learnt that Chief Tikhontele passed on this evening and the cause of death not yet known.
