We are never not in awe of these giant creatures. Standing out against the vast landscapes of the Karoo, yet somehow possessing the ability to completely blend into their surroundings. There’s something truly captivating about watching an elephant move through the landscape — both unmistakable and surprisingly elusive.

Some things are simply better experienced in the wild.

Finding Contours, an exhibition by Sean Daniel, was officially opened at Mud Modern on September 4, much to the delight of his friends, family and many of his students.

There is something particularly special about celebrating an achievement like this surrounded by the people who have been part of the journey. Family, friends, students and the wider community all play an important role in supporting and nurturing creative talent.

This exquisite body of work will be on display throughout September and serves as yet another reminder that Barrydale is home to some of the most gifted artists.
