Sjiro Statue: Art and Purpose at The Village Green.
The Village Green landmark, Sjiro, has become a key feature in Bathurst. The statue perfectly blends local charm, creative expression, and vital community support.

The Sjiro statue is also a central point for local fundraising. A dedicated donation box is situated beneath, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Port Alfred & Ndlambe District SPCA.

Be sure to give Sjiro a stroke for good luck when you visit The Village Green.

🐕Don't forget to stroke Sjiro for luck and pop in a donation for the SPCA when you are next in the Village Green, in Bathurst. 🐕

❤️ A Special Tribute to Oscar ❤️
It is with love and sadness that we share the passing of Oscar, one of our beloved Top Dog winners. Oscar’s story of rescue, resilience, and brotherhood with Arthur touched so many hearts across Bathurst. He was brave, gentle, and full of life until the very end. Our thoughts are with Riaan and Arthur, who shared in his love and adventures.

Run free, dear Oscar. You’ll always be remembered as one of Bathurst’s true Top Dogs.
