It took me years to realize that you should learn about a person before you love them, because when you skip understanding, love can turn into attachment which leads to nothing but mental abuse — and that actions will always reveal the truth more than words ever will. the next time someone tries to convince you that they care, don't just listen to what they say, watch what they do. true intentions are shown through consistent effort, not empty promises.
