The thing is, we can’t predict what will “go viral” or what won’t.

The best you can do is stick to your strategy. Make sure it includes room for light hearted content, trends, and self expression. Most often that will lead to relatable content (which will generate the best engagement).

It’s important to recognise that not all content is supposed to serve the same purpose. Not all content is supposed to convert (now say that again slowly).

We don’t care that we didn’t “convert” from this reel either. That wasn’t the point.
Was it unexpected? Definitely
Was it exciting? Very

Your strategy can include content intended for conversion too (along with brand positioning, awareness, education, entertainment etc.).
Your content purpose should never be “trying to go viral”.

The right post with 120 views can convert just as much as a random reel with 200k views.
