The 2024 edition of Maftown Heights has cemented its place as one of South Africa’s premier music festivals, delivering an unforgettable celebration of Motswako and hip-hop culture. Thousands of music lovers gathered at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown, turning Johannesburg into the heartbeat of South African music and entertainment for one electrifying night.
From the first beat to the final encore, Maftown Heights proved why it’s the festival that everyone wants to be at. With a star-studded lineup with standout performances from Khuli Chana & The Motswako Republic, The NuTswako Nation with Maglera Doe Boy, K.O., Sjava and more and a closing set from Cassper Nyovest, the stage was a showcase of unmatched talent, energy, and South African pride. Khuli Chana also took to stage to tease an upcoming partnership with Swedish beauty and wellness giant, Oriflame, slated for 2025.
