Oproep vir hulp vir MedFM
MEDFM, jou gunsteling Gemeenskapsradiostasie in Bloemfontein, is nou meer as twee maande van die lug af weens finansiёle uitdagings.
Gemeenskapsradiostasies regoor die land ly onder die nagevolge van die Covid19 Pandemie en wankelige ekonomiese omstandighede in Suid-Afrika, ongeag die feit dat dit gedurende die Grendel-tydperk deur die President as ‘n noodsaaklike diens verklaar is.
Die uitstaande skuld vir Sentech, die amptelike en enigste seinverspreider in Suid-Afrika, het daartoe gelei dat Medfm van die lug gehaal is. Dit kan daartoe lei dat die stasie (wat bekend is vir sy ongelooflike musiek, gesonde lewenstyl- en mediese inhoud en om die luisteraars ingelig te hou met die nuutste nuusgebeure) sy deure sal moet sluit.
Gemeenskapradio-lisensies word slegs toegestaan aan Nie-winsgewende Maatskappye en Organisasies wat die gemeenskap bedien.
Daar is ‘n massavergadering gereël vir die luisteraars en gemeenskapleiers om ‘n poging aan te wend om fondse in te samel om die stasie terug op die lug te kry.
Die vergadering is geskeduleer vir 10:00 moreoggend (Saterdag 14 Januarie 2023) of volg ons op Facebook vir die jongste nuus hieroor. Die vergadering gaan by die MedFM kantore – President Steyn Laan 64, Westdene, Bloemfontein.
Hierdie Radiostasie behoort aan sy mense en speel ‘n belangrike rol in die handhawing van demokrasie en om die gemeenskap ingelig te hou in hulle moedertaal. Kom ons staan saam en veg vir ‘n radiostasie vir sy mense, deur sy mense.
