Power tripping at Opkoms Clinic under investigation

Community members who rely on the Opkoms Clinic in Heidedal are to take note that there have been several electricity tripping incidents in the past few days. The Free State Department of Health spokesperson, Mondli Mvambi, said that the department is aware of this.

“Following a thorough investigation, we have determined that the increased utilisation of electrical instruments, particularly as winter approaches, has contributed to the current electrical issues. Our technicians have conducted preliminary assessments and are actively working to address the situation,” he explained.

Mvambi added that the tripping incidents have not impacted service delivery at the clinic. “The Department is committed to finding a lasting solution to ensure the continued safety and efficiency of operations at Opkoms Clinic. We appreciate the patience and understanding of the community as we work towards rectifying this issue.”
