Higher Education Minister, Blade Nzimande says students had ample time to submit their applications timeously before the deadline.

Student Records Division will identify students who qualify to write the special examination.
And provide them with the necessary information.

The sale of alcohol will be from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Thursdays ONLY and alcohol consumption in all public places is prohibited.

In KZN beaches and parks will be closed on 16 December, 25, 26, 31 December and 1 to 3 January.

Indoor gatherings restricted to 100 people and 250 outdoors.

Hours of curfew includes Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. 11pm - 4am. Restaurants must close at 10pm.

Failure to comply runs the risk of a fine or six months imprisonment.

The family of a missing 22-year-old student at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein say they are praying for her safe return.

Siphamandla Luwaca, a third year Law student, was last seen on Monday.

She said she was going to the campus to complete an assignment.

Police have confirmed that they are investigating a case of a missing person and that the investigating officer is consulting with the family.

Family spokesperson, Sikhululekile Luwaca, says the whole family has travelled from Cala in the Eastern Cape to help with the search.
