A 2-year-old baby girl, Omphile Sethole, was allegedly taken from her bed while her family was asleep.
This heartbreaking incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, 2 May 2026, in Ga-Mabuela village near Tinmyne, Limpopo.
According to police, the child’s grandmother woke up around 2am and took Omphile with her to the bathroom before returning to bed. When she woke again at about 6am, the toddler was gone.
A window in the room was found wide open, raising serious fears that someone may have broken in and taken the child while the family slept.
💔 Family members and neighbours searched immediately, but there is still no sign of Omphile.
👮♂️ Police have launched a massive manhunt and are treating this as a case of housebreaking and kidnapping.
At the time of her disappearance, Omphile was wearing:
• Pink jersey
• Black tights
