Comrade Koena Ramotlou’s unwavering commitment, unbreakable vision, and everlasting legacy continue to inspire. He dedicated his life to the struggle for fair working conditions and the dignity of municipal workers, standing as a true leader, a comrade, and a visionary.
He championed service delivery and labour unity, believing in a strong, united, and militant SAMWU. His influence reached beyond borders, amplifying workers’ voices in international trade unions and the Young Workers platform.
We honour his life, his mission, and his spirit keeping our eyes on the ball, just as he urged. Let us remember, reflect, and recommit to the ideals he lived for, ensuring that his legacy endures.
