Today being weekend, I decided to give my wife a treat.
While I was busy mixing up all the eatable elements in the kitchen.
Meanwhile, she was watching me like, I'm too tired for all this your shenanigans 😭
Once I was done, I walked over to her and gently guided her to sit.
I told her “Madam CEO of Hard Work", please clock out. Your shift has ended.
Then I went into the kitchen. Even though the meal I prepared wasn’t MasterChef level, but the effort was Top tier.
The meal I prepared with confidence… and a little bit of guessing and loads of love.
Eventually, I plated the food and brought it to her like a five-star waiter.
“Your order, my queen, made with love… and a small amount of fear.”
She laughed, finally coming back to life.
I sat beside her and fed her, one spoon at a time.
“Open your mouth.”
“I can feed myself.”
“No, no. Today you are a baby. Allow me.”
She couldn’t even argue, she was too tired and, honestly, enjoying the VIP and baby wife treatment 😀
After the meal, I gently massaged her shoulders, and wow, if stress had a physical form, it would’ve packed its bags and relocated immediately.
“Ahhh,” she sighed.
“Yes,” I replied proudly, “this is a certified stress-removal service. No refunds.”
By the end of it all, she looked relaxed, cared for, and deeply appreciated.
And me?
I leaned back like a hero.
She said “Another successful mission completed.
Husband of the Year, thank you very much"
But truth be told, behind all the jokes and playful moments, what I gave her was something simple and powerful love that shows up, helps out, and says, ‘I’ve got you’ even on the most exhausting days.
