Minister Makie: Music Career
Makesure Taurai Kamuchacha was born into a poor rural family on 23 December 1984, in UzumbaMarambaPfungwe. He has always had a keen interest in music and was part of his Primary School choir in 1996 when he was in grade 6. Unfortunately that year, two choir members were targeted for elimination from the choir on the basis of lack of talent and he fell victim to this exercise. This left him distraught and questioning whether he had any musical talent at all. However this did not deter him, but left him exploring other ways in which he could express his musical talent by himself and sometimes with his younger brother. One of the things that kept him going was a mysterious event that he experienced as a five year old boy. While in the forest one day, he saw a bird that he had never seen before, which sang with a unique melody. That melody has stuck with him and has remained his source of inspiration and melody structure for all the songs that he has composed over the years. His debut album in 2006 was called ‘Hupenyu Hauna Zvahunoreva’ (Life is meaningless) which he recorded with TMC studios, however, the album was not marketed well because of limited resources. In 2011 he recorded a second album with Mono Studios called ‘Kumavambo Kwezivo’ (In the beginning of knowledge) which was a good project though not well marketed again. The third and most recent album which he recorded is ‘Mukuyaruka’ (As I was growing up) in 2019. This album, which is set to have better marketing was inspired by the many different cultural lessons that he learnt from the Uzumba community as he was growing up. He discovered that “being a christian is pivoted on one’s way of life before you speak about worship.” He said he was surprised by the lack of unity in the body of Christ which is expected to be one body with many different parts, yet he was so encouraged by the ‘Mukoka’ or ‘Nhimbe’ concept that he saw being fully expressed in his community. Community members would call each other to help each other with crop field labour. The host would slaughter a goat or a pig and also provide a brew of beer and a drink of maheu for teetotallers . It showed unity and the event was festive. The work done at these events is said not to be tough at all, because of the fun filled environment. Minister Make said, “The community worked together as one in perfect unity at these events and grudges and conflicts were set aside during such festivities and the whole community was so happy. People related well and relatives were close. There was never talk of extended family. Every one was family. Your cousins were not just cousins they were your brothers and sisters. Your uncles and aunts were your fathers and mothers. During the Mukoka’s or Nhimbes there would be a time of celebration in song and dance after the field work was completed and to this day, the songs and dance that I saw at these events still influence how I composes songs.” Minister Makie’s desire is to provide social commentary into all the issues that people face on a day to day basis and to unravel how customs, traditions and the culture shape our world view, even in our expression of Christianity.

Topic; Only in him ,we are complete

🔥Matthew 26:28 "For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins."
MATTHEW 26:27-29
The principle of the Old Covenant was "do" and you shall live. The principle of the New Covenant is "it is done," and includes redemption, reconciliation, righteousness, and sanctification. The work is finished! We are complete in Him!

If the Old Covenant had no defects, there would have been no attempt to institute another (Heb. 8:7). In the Old Covenant, men found themselves unable to abide in its agreement, for it was based upon a man's performance, kana usina kunzwisisa you are to ask me.....

The new agreement, however, is based totally upon God's grace. Under the Old Covenant, men approached God through a priest, while under the New Covenant, we have direct access to the Father through Jesus Christ. Under the Old Covenant, a man's sin led to his death while under the New Covenant, God is merciful to our unrighteousness. Under the Old Covenant, man could not be cleansed of a consciousness of sin while under the New Covenant, our sins and iniquities are remembered no more, and our guilty consciences are cleansed.

Prior to salvation we are incomplete and there is a constant striving in every person to satisfy their hunger. Through the new birth we are complete in Christ and our hunger now should only be for more revelation of what we already have in Christ.

Tamvera ndidzo nyasha amen and amen

Topic; invest in the spirit......

🔥Gal 6:7-10 NKJV
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

✨We are reminded once again that the principle of sowing and reaping is applicable in all aspects of our lives, be it physical or spiritual.
✨We are instructed to be mindful of what we spend our time doing and what we give ourselves to, knowing that everything we do is a seed.

✨From our text above, we are reminded that if we spend time sowing to our flesh, we will reap corruption and death. The flesh has no benefit to man.
✨ God expects us to sow always to our spirit because the fruit of this is eternal life.
✨ Sowing to the flesh arises when we give ourselves more to the pleasures of this world and forsake the things of God, thereby making us enslaved to the things of the world

Topic; build your own Ark,.....

🔥Hebrews 11:7, John 16:13
It was faith that made Noah hear God's warnings about things in the future that he could not see. He obeyed God and built a boat in which he and his family were saved. As a result, the world was condemned, and Noah received from God the righteousness that comes by faith. *But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would show us things to come. These include revelations about our spiritual lives and relationships with God, to revelations about investing in the lives of others. The Spirit of Truth will reveal God's truth to you so as to prepare you for your future and the future of others.

Be quick to respond when the Holy Spirit stirs your heart about something. Refuse the temptation to be so overly concerned about things that are happening now that you cannot invest in the future. When Joseph became Prime Minster of Egypt, he diligently stored grains for the future and it led to the preservation of many lives. Proverbs 22:3 says, "a prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished". Don't ignore the promptings of the Spirit in your heart. Sometimes it can be something God wants you to stop doing.

Amen

Topic; God's love

1 John 4:16-17, Jude 1:21
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. *and keep yourselves in the love of God, as you wait for our Lord Jesus Christ in his mercy to give you eternal life.

✨ One of the ways to guard our conscience and increase our boldness is to abide in God's love.

✨We abide in God's love by being conscious of it and by reflecting that love unto others.

✨The reason that God loves us is simply because He has chosen to do so.
✨God loves us because He is love. That is His nature and He wants that to be our nature too.
✨ Jesus instructs us to love one another as He loves us, John 13:34. Like God, we should love people, not because they deserve it but because love is our nature. God has asked us to love like Him because He has given us the ability to do so.

Topic; Have God's wisdom

James 1:5-8, 1 Cor 2:7

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.But we speak the wisdom of in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory.

Child of God, are you having difficulty making a decision? Do you desire the best possible outcome for what you are about to embark on or are you in a tight situation and need the wisdom of God to pull through? God is saying to you today, ask for my wisdom and I will give it to you bountifully.

Let us take a moment to imagine what we can do with the wisdom of God. Imagine God being the manager of that business of yours. Would it prosper? Imagine God getting an education in your school or course of study. Could He fail? Imagine God submitting a proposal for that contract. Would He be rejected? Of course not, because a superior knowledge would be at work.

Amen

Topic; He made himself poor .........

Romans 5:5-6 & 10
And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. *… if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!

🔥The major source of our hope as believers is the love of God.
✨Nothing reveals God's love to us as much as focusing on Jesus and all that He has done for us.
✨Jesus came down to this earth and did all that He did for your sake.
2 Corinthians 8:9 says, “for ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
✨” He did all so that you and I will be strong and have hope in God. We must deliberately think about Christ and focus on His love, His sufferings for us, His victory over sin, sickness, the devil and all evil, as well as the many wonderful things He has made available for us.

Topic; Fullness of freedom in Christ Jesus...

🔥Psalms 124:7-8 (NKJV), John 8:32, 2Corinthians 3:17
Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. *And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. *Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

✨The devil will keep attempting to cause us to feel bound, caged and limited in order to prevent us from arising, moving forward and being what God has destined us to be.

✨God wants us to continually take possession of the absolute freedom He has liberally granted us in Christ. He wants you to see yourself free because Jesus has set you free.

✨God wants you to never feel bound by anything or in any situation. In Luke 4:18, Jesus assured us that He came to heal the broken hearted, deliver the captives, restore sight to the blind and set at liberty those who are bruised.

✨Even the guilt and hurts of the past will not cage or limit you anymore. Have you ever wondered how Apostle Paul was able to overcome the guilt of His past that resulted from his persecution of the body of Christ, and still follow God's leading to be a great blessing to that same body of Christ? This same grace is upon you in Christ.
