WARD COUNSELOR OF WARD 40 IN MADIBENG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY HIRED MANIPULATED ANNC MEMBERSHIP AND HIRED BOUNCERS AT THE BGM MEETING

it was alleged that the community of Sonop is been having complaints about the current counselor, Cllr C. Mphahlele. The counselor is been accused for corruption, extortion and service delivery in the ward. The community of Sonop says Cllr Mphahlele is not fit to lead the community. The community has even submitted a petition to the local municipality of Madibeng, members of the community says he is dividing the community as well as the members of the ANC in the ward. Apparently the BGM meeting was held at Pansdrift, a neighboring area of farms outside Sonop in Brits.

On the 12th of October 2025 there was a soccer tounament among the sonop local teams. The first two game ended with penalty shootout, where Love and Peace United was kicked off the tounament. The final match was not played due to time and weather conditions. Love and Peace United lost the first game against Sonop united and they had to play the next match which also ended in penalties.
