Since then, their phones have been switched off, and every attempt by their parents and the community to locate them has led nowhere. Their families are terrified and pleading for any information that could help bring them home safely.
These are daughters, sisters, friends — and right now, they are out there somewhere and need our eyes, our awareness, and our humanity.

The demonstration, which began early Monday morning, has since spiralled into chaos, with protesters burning tyres, vandalising public infrastructure, and disrupting traffic.
Street lights have been destroyed in several parts of the area surrounding the company’s premises, leaving residents concerned about safety.
“We are tired of empty promises. Some of us haven’t been paid for over two months,” said one worker, who asked to remain anonymous. “How are we supposed to survive?”

47 PUTCO buses torched, two workers injured in Mpumalanga

The Public Utility Transport Corporation (PUTCO) has confirmed that 47 of its buses were set alight and two workers injured in attacks at multiple depots in Mpumalanga.
According to PUTCO, incidents have been reported at four depots in the province. Initial investigations reveal that an unknown group of assailants ambushed security personnel at the Moloto depot, binding them before torching the buses and opening fire inside the facility.
The company has also received reports of buses being set on fire at additional depots in the region.
