I’m 44, and I’ve officially entered my “Unapologetic Era.” 🥂
For a long time, I let the world tell me what a plus-size mum should look like.
I wore the “slimming” colors and the “appropriate” cuts, dressing to blend into the background so no one would feel uncomfortable with my body.
But three years ago, I decided I was done playing small. 🌈
I started dressing for dopamine.
I started choosing colors that make me vibrate with joy and silhouettes that make me feel powerful, whether I’m heading out or just sitting on my sofa.
The biggest lesson?
Confidence isn’t a finish line.
It’s a journey I’m still on every single day.
Some days I feel like I’m standing on the mountain top, and other days I’m still doing the heavy lifting to unlearn the old “rules.”
But I’m not doing it for approval anymore—I’m doing it for me.
To the women watching and waiting for a “perfect” body to start enjoying fashion: Please don’t wait.
Your style lives in your bones, not your dress size.
Wear the bold print. Take up the space. Dress for your own joy.
Because when you stop dressing for them, you finally start living for you. ✨
To all my beautiful butterflies 🦋, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Stay safe and I’ll be back soon.
I’m OOO until the 1st week of January, or at least I’ll try 😆
