Earlier this year, we spent time at various Early Childhood Development centres, reading with young learners and sharing quiet moments around books. Moments like these remind us how meaningful access to reading can be, especially in communities where books are scarce and opportunities are uneven.
Maskew Miller Learning has had the opportunity to donate books to over 2 000 learners, with this work made possible through our foundation, The Novus Foundation. This initiative reflects a belief that sits at the heart of our work: every child deserves access to books and the opportunity to learn to read, regardless of where they start.
We understand the realities many parents, caregivers and teachers face - limited resources, time pressures, crowded classrooms and the need for materials in languages children understand. That understanding guides what we create. Our readers are available in eleven languages, supporting children to learn in ways that feel familiar, affirming and accessible.

• Read‑Along “Read With Me” videos on our YouTube channels, using our Stars of Africa reader series as well as our Vuma books, to help children follow along with confidence.

This work is a journey.
