Durban City chairman Farook Kadodia confirms talks with Zimbabwean striker Washington Navaya as interest in the player grows.

“I spoke to him now before the boy went to the national team. So they are delaying it because they want the player to come back from the national team and then only they can negotiate and whatever," Kadodia told the media.

"But understand, they're very smart because they're looking to see if anybody can spot him. So leave them. When they come back and they get no offers, they must come to our terms."

Navaya's pedigree has been further enhanced by his recent individual accolades, having been crowned Zimbabwe Soccer Star of the Year after a prolific campaign in which he netted 17 goals for TelOne FC.

Former Pirates midfielder Solly Mathe calls for Orlando Pirates to extend Sipho Mbule's contract after his resurgence and AFCON 2025 national team call-up.

Pirates signed Sipho Mbule at the start of the current season on a one-year renewable contract after he left Mamelodi Sundowns. Mbule's Contract Ends 30 June 2026.

"I think he has done well so far, and he took the opportunity with both hands, so he deserves a new contract. He has brought the calmness in the midfield," Mathe observed

Organizers had to open the gates for free during last night's Africa Cup of Nations match between Egypt and Zimbabwe due to an extremely low turnout at kick-off.

The stadium was almost empty as the match kicked off, prompting officials to allow free entry — with around 30,000 fans eventually packing the stands.

Paris Saint-Germain are seriously considering offering Luis Enrique a deal described as a 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁.

This would be the first ever agreement of its kind handed to anyone in football history and Enrique will affectively be able to solely choose when and if he wanted to ever leave the club.

He still has 1-year remaining on his current deal.

Sekhukhune United (Babina Noko), are ready to pounce and they may acquire him on a free transfer.

Babina Noko's head coach Eric Tinkler is keen on adding Van Duivenbooden to his team, citing a suitable style of play.

With the Africa Cup of Nations is underway, Manuel Tomas, agent of Bafana Bafana midfielder Sphephelo Sithole, has opened up on why he renewed his contract at Tondela.

"What we did is try to avoid everything (speculations) because he was at the end of his contract, it is not good for his focus," Tomas told the media.

"Now we've renewed the contract, and I think it's better for him to be only focused on the international competition without the disturbance that he is at the end of his contract."

"So now everything is solved, he can be focused on his club and the competition (AFCON),"

Would Tondela be open to selling if a big offer comes after the AFCON?

"It will depend on the club and the offer, we will see," Tomas answered.
