(Insert a cheesy headline) 🧀

In this week’s spotted, we’re serving up these cheesy looks by Louise () from Cheeselouise (), yes – that does have a nice ring to it. 😉 Working alongside foodie and creative – , and snap-happy queen – , this trio created a funky photo-series starring ’s two love languages: cheeeeese & butterrrrrrrrrr. 🧈

Smeer your finger across the screen (okay maybe we’re taking these cheese puns too far...) for buttery tones, waxy textures, funky structures, and images that make you smile the way one does before blowing out your birthday candles and saying, you guessed it, cheeeeeeseee! 😁

Let’s talk textiles, for real 👇🪡👂🐏🙌

It’s that time, people – time to really dive into the importance, beauty, and power of African fibre and textile craft. Time for Textile Talks 2025. 🧶

Founded by Twyg () and now in its third year, this three-day event gathers makers, experts, creative leaders, and manufacturers in the textile industry to – in a nutshell 🌰 – connect, engage (with one another and with you!), and explore the powerful force this realm can be for positive change. ♲

This year’s theme, Thread with Care, puts the spotlight on care, repair, and sustainability over waste – and promises to be brought to life through must-see exhibitions of natural African fibres and textiles in Cape Town. 👁️

Tickets are selling fast, so get yours today and join us next week! Head over to Twyg’s website (you know the way) to book and learn more. 🎟️

Postcards from a sheep shed in the Karoo 🧶

After a trip to the icy Karoo, we’ve returned with more than just cracked lips, dusty vellies, and full tummies (stuffed with pannekoek, roosterkoek, and lamb sosaties). Most importantly, we’ve returned to the city with a deep appreciation for the ‘world of wool’. 🧵

With more stories to come (keep your eyes on the next edition of 👀), we thought we’d share a few sneaky snaps from this past weekend at the , and from ‘Wool World’ – an exhibition co-curated by .studio and , and made possible by – that brought the landscape, its fruit (wool), crafters, makers, mothers, stories, community, and the warmth of wool to life. 🪨🐑🚜

Swipe for stories of wool and weaving – each telling the seasonal tales of the Karoo. 🪡

A place to call HOME 🚪

Who gets to belong? Who is left out? What does it mean to stay, to return, or to be made to leave? And how do we reclaim our place – physically, spiritually, and culturally?

These are the urgent, deeply human questions at the heart of ‘HOME’ – a powerful group exhibition by and in collaboration with , in support of . 🌆

Opening later today (scroll for the deets 👇), HOME gathers a bold and beautiful mix of established and emerging artists, each reflecting on how place, space, and memory shape our personal and collective stories. ✏️

Expect painting, photography, sculpture, installation, and conversations about belonging, memory, and the power of reclaiming space. A reminder that home is something we all have a right to.🏠

JACQUE’MUSE’ 🍌

Yes, he might be the most iconic figure in the zeitgeist: emblem of ‘banana boats’ (and a dream boat!), branded cafés... But to us, Jacquemus (aka Simon) is more than that – he is the ultimate storyteller. And his latest story had us moved from the start. 🧑‍🌾

For Spring/Summer 2026, Simon brings us Le Paysan – a love letter to the land and his roots. Grounded in the simplicity of farm life, the collection is a rich harvest of memories: his childhood, humble beginnings, and upbringing in the French countryside. 🍅 It’s giving Volume 17 (Harvest)... Obsessed doesn’t quite cover it. 😮‍💨

Swipe, savour, and shout out to Simon. Bravo. Bravo. 🤌

A W🧶RLD OF W🧶🧶L

Not our usual go-to for LOOKBOOK attire, but this week we’re lacing up a dusty pair of vellies and heading to the Tankwa for the annual ‘Wolfees’ – aka the . 🚜

Kicking off today, the festival brings together local crafters and storytellers to celebrate a beloved fibre 🐏 – set against the raw backdrop of the Karoo. We’re talking all things wool: from ‘boerepraatjies’ and sheepdog demos to design showcases, plus a multi-sensory exhibition we’re especially excited about – ‘Wool World: Beneath Karoo Skies’... 🌄

Curated by .studio and , and made possible by , ‘Wool World’ is a sensory experience exploring the emotional, cultural, and tactile beauty of South African wool. The exhibition pays tribute to the rhythms of the Karoo and the hands that shape this ancient fibre – many of whom are our dear friends, friends of the brand, collaborators, contributors, makers, mentors, and family (literally!). 🫶

To name a few:

We’ll be keeping an eye on it all and sharing more in the weeks to come. 📔 But for the wool lovers, wanderers, and ‘karoo siele’ out there – we hope to see you there! 👁️
