Afternoon Everyone

Trust you are all well, safe after the terrible storm we had, and keeping warm. As many of you know, I am definitely not a fan of this cold weather at all.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been testing and perfecting a few soup recipes, and after receiving so many messages and requests from some of you, I’ve decided to officially offer soups this winter season.

Each week there will be a Soup of the Week, which will be posted every Monday. And for those who may not know, many of the meals I offer can be frozen and enjoyed at a later stage the soups will be exactly the same, making them perfect for busy days or cold evenings.

Starting next week, I’ll also be introducing weekly combo deals! These will be available in limited quantities each week, but I promise they’ll be worth it.

I’m also busy working on my Father’s Day specials, so keep an eye out for those posts coming soon.

Some mornings in Cape Town really test you and today was one of them.

High gale-force winds, heavy rain, reports of flooding, power outages, fallen trees and even trucks being blown over, winter definitely arrived with a bang this morning.

Our own garage door decided it had plans of its own. One minute I was inside enjoying my coffee, the next I was barefoot in the rain, still in my pajamas, wrestling with a garage door flapping wildly in the wind. Add a dog trying to make a dramatic street escape and it quickly turned into a full action movie before breakfast.

After multiple attempts to get things under control, my husband eventually had to turn around on his way to work to come help rescue the situation. In the end, we left the garage open, brought the dog inside and waited for the wind to calm down.

And honestly? This is exactly why having a Virtual Assistant matters.

Life happens. Weather happens. Chaos happens. But while you’re managing the unexpected, your admin, emails, bookings, customer communication and behind-the-scenes tasks still need attention. A VA helps keep your business running even on the stormiest days.
