GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY MONDAY ❤️🥹
Can we talk about stress eating for a minute today?😭 Because some of us are not hungry, we’re STRESSED😩. Work stress,money stress, family stress,relationship stress, Life stress, etc. And somehow food becomes the therapist .💔You tell yourself: “Just one snack.” Then one snack becomes a packet. Then the packet becomes: “Well, today is already ruined anyway” 😭✋🏽
I’ve noticed that whenever I’m stressed, my cravings become louder. Suddenly I need bread 🍞, cookies 🍪, wine 🍷, something sweet 😭,Something crunchy 😭,Something comforting 😭.
The problem is that stress eating feels good for a few minutes but the stress is usually still there afterwards 🥹.Then you are left dealing with the original stress PLUS the guilt from overeating 😩. This week, let’s try something together. Before reaching for food, pause for a second and ask:
“Am I actually hungry or am I overwhelmed?” 👀. Sometimes the answer will still be hunger😂. But other times what we really need is a short walk 🚶🏾♀️,a glass of water 💧,a phone call 📞 with a friend, rest,music, prayer 🙏 , fresh air or simply a moment to breathe.
And please don’t aim for perfection this week.🙏.One stressful day does not ruin your weight loss journey. One bad meal does not ruin your progress. One difficult week does not mean you have failed ❤️. Weight loss is hard enough without bullying yourself. Be kind to yourself this week. Move your body when you can. Drink your water(i hate water sha, but this week, i will try🙏). Get your walks in, Make better choices when possible and if you mess up, don’t wait for next Monday. Just start again at the next meal 🥹🙌. We are not trying to be perfect this week. We are trying to be consistent.
