Friends of Echoing Green Press--here is good news--the zoom launch of GRIPSCAPES. See you there. Best, Jim
Hi everyone,
Norman Morrissey’s posthumously published collection, Gripscapes (2021) will be launched at The Red Wheelbarrow next week. A selection of poems from Gripscapes will be read by John van Wyngaard (editor and compiler) and fellow Ecca poets, Brian Walter and Silke Heiss. Jim Phelps of Echoing Green Press will chair proceedings.
See you then!
John van Wyngaard
John van Wyngaard spent his working life teaching literature at the University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg campus (now the University of Kwazulu-Natal), over several decades and across a wide range of material, but mainly poetry from America to Britain and South Africa, from the earliest beginnings to the present day. He has occasionally even committed a poem or two of his own. He is a contemporary of Norman Morrissey, and a friend from undergrad days onwards, and followed Norman's writing history from its start.
