Rodney Trudgeon’s guest on People of Note this week is the well established and much respected jazz musician, composer and recording producer Andrew Ford. Not only has Andrew produced many albums in his studio, The Nuthouse, but has also composed and recorded all the jingles for FMR and, more recently, our FMR Overture which opened our Gala Concert in May. Marlene Le Roux – CEO of Artscape Theatre, a pioneer who broke ceilings as the first woman of colour to lead Cape Town’s grandest stage. A relentless advocate for the unheard, from young dreamers to people living with disability, she has transformed Artscape into a cultural beacon for the nation.

Produced by South Africa’s own Elvis Sibeko, Dance Intersect 2025 is an initiative by internationally acclaimed choreographer Anderson Carvalho.
Audiences can look forward to a rich and diverse repertoire, ranging from neoclassical pieces and Afro-contemporary fusions to avant-garde ballet that explores themes of identity, transformation, and unity.
