We bring to you the fourth artist on the OuterSource crew...

Arborous 🌲

- the musical project of Devon Bewick, emerged from the vibrant Cape Town psytrance scene, where his journey into alternative psychedelic sound began in 2013. His first encounter with the underground party culture sparked a lifelong passion for the genre. Growing up in a family of musicians, creativity and rhythm ran deep in his roots, shaping both his ear for detail and his drive to carve out a unique musical identity.

Drawn to the darker, more organic shades of psychedelic music, he found inspiration in the forest soundscapes of the pioneering psy labels that pushed the boundaries of electronic storytelling.

His music reflects not only the deep heritage of the Cape Town psy scene, but also his personal mission to create sonic journeys that mirror the vast, interconnected world of the forest - alive, mysterious, and endlessly evolving.

The fourth artist on our roster is once again a local to the home we call South Africa.

This man has been part of our scene for many years and is still flying high, undercover and from afar.

Once gracing the stages of STP, Freaky Forest and vortex's heartspace. He disappeared for a few years to find a new sound that suited him better, and is now coming back stronger than ever!

Formed from Trees and called to the mountains, his style is sure to have you shaking all night.

Take a minute and see if you are able to guess the fourth artist flying aboard the OuterSource ship, and we'll be doing an official reveal within the week.

This man is a Magic Charm with intrigue in archaic instruments and ways of the ancient

At times you can catch him chilling out amongst the ambience, other times collecting field recordings of the fauna and flora

With his experimental style you can be sure to expect the unexpected while gently being guided through eclectic sonic landscapes

The LIVE Forest act of 23 year old, Aidan Roemer.

Brought forth is a mature, elegant, deep expression.
Focused on the organic, ritualistic nature of forest music; paying homage to and drawing inspiration from ancient cultural practices & shamanistic traditions 🔱🌈💐

The second artist on our roster is another SA local.

Trying to push a "deep forest" sound and surely finding his feet on the path along the way.

You'll sometimes find him getting stuck pushing mud through a hole and other times, you won't find him at all, as he is caught up in his habitat honing his sound.

With rolling basslines and hints of healing, you are sure to hear the icaro he intends to push forth.

To support and showcase talent, we're launching a monthly guest mix series on our YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/). This will give DJs a chance to shine and connect with a wider audience.

We often receive requests to join the Sangoma family. While we’re honored and inspired by the talent out there, we intentionally keep our roster small so we can fully support and focus on each of our artists. That said, we know there are so many skilled DJs in the Psytrance scene, frome newcomers to friends to people who just love creating mixes. This competition is our way of celebrating that community and providing a platform to be heard.

Here’s how to enter:

Create a DJ set using 100% Sangoma released music (Max duration: 1.5 hours)

And the first artist on the OuterSource roster is...

Ajitu

Ajitu is a project inspired by the idea of an ancient guardian of the forest — a shapeshifting entity that exists at the intersection of sound and nature. Born from the first hum of the earth and the rhythmic patterns of life, Ajitu manifests as a beacon of balance, guiding wanderers and seekers through psychedelic soundscapes.

The man behind this project is Keeno-Lee Ford. Born and bred in Cape Town, South Africa, he developed a love for electronic music at a young age. As he got older, he began attending psychedelic music festivals, where he truly fell in love with the genre. This love for music soon led him to DJing, and eventually, experimenting with music production to create his own sound.

Either blatantly bouncing to his basslines, or losing yourself in the lingering atmosphere... Ajitu is sure to guide you smoothly through A Journey Into The Unknown.
