We are excited to extend an open invitation to the public on behalf of the Revitalise Neighbourhood Initiative. Our mission is to confront the challenges faced by communities and cultivate vibrant, sustainable neighbourhoods that prioritise safety, inclusivity, and warmth for all residents. By promoting investment in arts & crafts, infrastructure, local businesses, and active community engagement, we are committed to enhancing quality of life while driving both social and economic progress.
ONE OF OUR 4 KEY PORTFOLIOS AIMED AT REVITALISING NEIGHBOURHOODS:
1. My Plek My Hoek Concert
Transforming gang-occupied corners into safe performance spaces and converting residential areas into active community hubs. This initiative promotes investment in the arts and local businesses while sparking creativity through our open jam sessions, My Plek My Hoek, hosted across the city.
🎤 Featured Artist: Klein Fortuin
Klein Fortuin is celebrated for his comedic Afrikaans rap and high-energy live performances. With years of independent music-making, he has become a force in Cape Town’s music scene. His work draws inspiration from daily life in Mitchell’s Plain, smartly weaving real neighbourhood experiences into his lyrics. A multifaceted artist, Klein Fortuin moves seamlessly between conscious hip hop, hardcore battle rap, comedic tracks, and infectious club bangers — delivered in both Afrikaans and English.
