The journey for the brand UZURI started in December 2017. For years three cousins dreamed of starting an African magazine and clothing label. In 2017 was the year that they decided that that they were going to begin working on this dream. Then UZURI was born with very little capital, Uzuri means Beauty in Swahili. The brand was started with buying fabric and leather off cuts and making clutch bags and accessories.UZURI has grown steadily throughout this year and has big plans for 2019!

The brand by Mosidinyana Phohlela is inspired by her late dad. He had a brand of T shirts with "Ke Mosotho ya Motenya" printed on them. On the 10th year anniversary of his passing she decided to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in herself and start the Brand in honour of her father. She says that Brownsense was just the right support when she reached out to to launch the culturally rich concept. She does more that clothing and also started with sugar free homemade ginger beer(use xylitol rather as a banter herself for many years and leading a healthy lifestyle). She plans to extend the brand with freshly made all lemons lemonade on the next market.

Selling the original Three Cats customer made clothes(made to order), Basotho Blankets, Hats and an extensive range available, remember the name Mosotho ya Motenya.

One of our regular traders Shea by Design Store by Laetitia Piers
The brand was started out of love and a huge passion for natural hair and how to care for it. Seeing all the exorbitant prices for natural hair products, the brand aims to provide quality and organic products at an affordable price.

She has had a natural hair page for almost 2 years now and educated herself and others about natural hair. The most important aspect of hair is not very popular and that
is hair porosity. Shea by Design caters to different hair porosities (low -almond/avocado and high -castor/coconut)
and that's what makes the my brand unique.
It's not only an amazing and affordable product but it educates women about their hair. Once you leave her stand or get in contact with her, you will know the most
essential trait of your hair to make your hair journey much easier.

Their butters are 100% organic and natural, and thus it is perfect to use on kids! The butters are great for hair & skin. The butters are an ALL-IN-ONE, being useful for
everything from moisture retention in your hair to reduce the appearance of blemishes on your skin. You can meet up with this phenomenal brand on Sunday 2nd Dec at Brownsense Market CPT, The Last Market For 2018.
