Our Story
Broadcasting in the Western Cape’s Deep Southern Peninsula, Zone Radio 88.5 fm is primarily a music station supported by talk where entertainment, education and information are packaged for our listeners. At the heart of the product is a program grid that is listener driven offering adult contemporary music 7 days a week. Zone Radio has always been committed to job creation, supporting small business, the promotion of South African and Independent music and the development of new broadcast talent. Zone Radio's focus in on the following: * We will playlist the kind of adult contemporary music often absent from existing radio stations in South Africa. * Providing a platform for local musicians showcase their talent. * Developing training programs for young people who wish to become involved in radio as producers, journalists or presenters. * Providing a place where young presenters and sound technicians will be given the opportunity to hone their skill. * Offering clients cost effective but creative advertising solutions using the multi-media platforms available via the internet. * Creating employment opportunities * Remaining interactive with our listeners so as to develop a “Zone Radio Community” * Portraying the best of the “Deep South” and South Africa to the world.
