The reckless use of Highly Hazardous Pesticides in our neighbourhoods is a threat to our health, our pollinators, and the very fabric of life.

🌱 At Beauty Without Cruelty, we stand unequivocally against the use of pesticides, whether on crops or on pavements. This is an urgent ethical and environmental issue that demands action from us all.

🚨 Samantha Hodgson, Fish Hoek resident and co-founder of Baboon Watch WC, shares an urgent message about the fate of 121 baboons in Cape Town’s Southern Peninsula:

🗣️ “These baboons have a target on their backs. Removal means death. The Joint Task Team — CapeNature, SANParks, and City of Cape Town — has FAILED to implement their own bylaws for 20 years. And now, their solution is to kill the baboons because of their own inaction. This is unacceptable.”

💔 The JTT’s current plan puts 4 entire troops at risk. If this goes ahead, we may soon have no baboons left in areas like the Ulu. They belong here — in our mountains, in our green spaces.

✊ “These baboons are ours. They are Cape Town’s sons and daughters. We must stand up.”
