The Story Behind Hennessy N G.O.A.
(From the Artist: ) š„š„
Every song begins with a vision. Hennessy N G.O.A. was no different. It was born during a time when I was still trying to find my voice in music, still fresh in the studio, but already burning with a creative fire that refused to die.
It all started with Mr. Morf, the very first producer I ever worked with. Iāll never forget that moment. Through a connection named Valo, I stepped into my first recording studio, and from that day on, I never looked back. That first version of the track was titled Hometown. At the time, I was still exploring my sound, still figuring out how to transform the lyrics I'd been writing since high school into something that could be felt through speakers.
Mr. Morf laid the foundation. His style and guidance shaped that early version and helped me believe I was truly beginning something. Even as a beginner in recording, I had years of writing experience, and working with him helped connect that passion to production.
But I wasnāt done.
I took the track to another producer, Legend Pro Beat, introduced to me by Smell Money (formerly known as Nyz D). Legend Pro Beat brought new energy to the track and later became my official producer. He gave Hometown a second life, but still, my heart wasnāt fully at peace with the result. I wanted more clarity. More emotion. More power.
Enter Promack, a sound engineer whose ear for creativity blew my mind. His touch added something beautiful, something I hadnāt even realized the track was missing. When I heard his version, I said, āWow.ā For the first time, I felt okay. That version of the track was released under the title Hometown.
But deep down, I knew I could do better.
A year passed.
Then came Danro, a producer, a friend, and a brother. Danro changed everything. He didnāt just touch Hennessy N G.O.A. he elevated almost every track Mr. Morf and Legend Pro Beat had previously worked on. He became more than a collaborator; he became a mentor. He taught me things about production, tone, balance, and professionalism that Iāll carry with me for life.
During the pandemic, I met Augusta, another friend who gave me priceless advice: āYour songs are fire, but they need more clarity and balance.ā I listened. I took those words to Danro, and together we pushed forward.
That journey, through multiple producers, countless sessions, versions, edits, and relentless pursuit of a better sound, is the story behind Hennessy N G.O.A. The song has lived many lives, and each one carries a different piece of me. In my next album, Hometown, I plan to release all the earlier versions, each with new lyrics, to showcase the evolution of this track and my growth as an artist.
This version, though, the final version of Hennessy N G.O.A., this one is official. Itās where I finally found peace with the sound, the feeling, and the message. It came from a place of beliefā a beautiful place Iām heading to. A place where I know my own people will embrace the music I make, not just as songs, but as stories.
So, shoutout to Danro, to Mr. Morf, to Legend Pro Beat, to Promack, to Augusta, and to every producer who gave me their time, and even those who shaded or doubted me. I see you. I donāt carry hate. I carry growth. And I hope you now see what I saw from the start.
I am .
And this is only the beginning.
