Let me pray for you my gorgeous, gorgeous Sistah....
Many women stop dreaming because disappointment taught them to expect less.
I understand that feeling more than most.
There was a time in my life when I stopped making plans too far ahead. Not because I lacked faith, but because I was tired of being disappointed.
Life hadn't unfolded the way I thought it would.
The marriage I fought so hard to save ended in a devastating betrayal and a painful divorce after 32 years together.
People I trusted with my heart wounded me more deeply than I ever thought possible.
Dreams I had carried for decades seemed to disappear like vapour before my eyes.
Doors I prayed and prepared for remained closed, while it felt as though every step forward was being resisted and opposed.
There were moments when I questioned everything—my purpose, my future, and whether the life I had hoped for would ever come to pass.
Yet somehow, through every tear, every disappointment, and every setback, God kept me.
The disappointments taught me resilience.
The tears taught me how to encourage other women who thought they would never smile again.
Looking back now, I can see that what was meant to break me became the very thing that built me. The pain that nearly destroyed me became the foundation of my purpose. The ashes became fertile ground for restoration.
What I once saw as the end of my story became the beginning of a completely new chapter.
That is why I refuse to believe that any woman is too old, too broken, too late, or too far behind for God to use.
If you are walking through your own season of betrayal, loss, disappointment, broken and delayed dreams, I want you to know this - your story is not over. God is still writing chapters you cannot yet see. What feels like an ending may be the beginning of a life more meaningful, impactful, and purposeful than you ever imagined.
There is still purpose in you.
There is still wisdom in you.
There is still life in you.
There is still a dream worth pursuing.
It may not look like the dream you had at 30.
But it may become something far more meaningful than you ever imagined.
So if you've stopped dreaming because disappointment taught you to expect less, today I want to encourage you to expect God again.
Not your circumstances.
Not people's promises.
Not what happened before.
God.
Because He still specializes in new beginnings.
Sistahhhh, your future is not behind you.
It is waiting for you to take the next step.
Remember the weapons were formed but they will not prosper!
Let me pray for you -
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your promise in Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against me shall prosper and that every tongue that rises against me in judgment You will condemn. Today, I stand on Your Word and declare that my life is covered by Your protection, Your favor, and Your grace.
Lord, when the enemy tries to discourage me, remind me that I belong to You. When fear, doubt, criticism, or disappointment come against me, help me to trust that You are my Defender and my Refuge. Strengthen my heart to walk in confidence, knowing that no attack can stop the plans You have for my life.
Father, heal every wound caused by harsh words, betrayal, rejection, and past hurts. Silence every lie that tells me I am not enough, too old, too broken, or too late. Replace those lies with Your truth—that I am loved, chosen, redeemed, and equipped for the purpose You have prepared for me.
I declare that every weapon of fear is broken.
Every weapon of discouragement is defeated.
Every weapon of confusion is dismantled.
Every weapon sent to hinder my destiny will not prosper.
Thank You that my inheritance as Your child is victory, peace, protection, and righteousness through Christ Jesus. Help me to move forward with faith, courage, and expectation, trusting that You are working all things together for my good.
Today I choose to believe Your promises over my circumstances and Your truth over every negative report. I receive Your strength, Your wisdom, and Your peace.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen. 🙏💜
