Summer 2026 taught me one thing: BRAND IDENTITY
One of the biggest highlights of my summer was casually running into High Chief Obi Cubana OBI IYIEGBU and the CEO of Enviable Motors. Mr Ituma Chukwuemeka
Funny enough, I was wearing a black face cap, and Obi Cubana didn’t recognize me at first. Enviable did.
We took a picture, but I wasn’t satisfied with it. So I gathered courage, went back and asked for a second one. This time, I had changed into my red cap. ❤️🧢
Immediately, everything changed.
He recognized me.
“Of course I know Cruise With Joe!”
Then he told me something that stayed with me: always wear the red cap. That is your identity. That is what people know you for.
And suddenly, this random encounter became a lesson.
I had worn the black cap because, for once, I wanted to move around unnoticed. But I realized something: when you choose to go unnoticed, you may also become invisible to the opportunities looking for you.
Your identity matters.
Your branding matters.
How consistently you show up matters.
Sometimes we spend so much time trying to blend in that we forget the very thing that makes us recognizable is what can open the next door.
So I made a decision this summer: I will wear my identity proudly.
The red cap. The culture. The food. The storytelling. The person I have worked so hard to become.
Wherever I go, however casual the moment may be, I want to show up as myself.
Because you never know who is watching, who recognizes your work, or what opportunity is standing right in front of you.
Don’t hide what makes you recognizable. Wear your identity. ❤️🧢
Summer 2026, you taught me well.
