Lesedi House Inc. Addresses Unauthorized Publications Regarding Gauta BMX Cyclists' Journey

Lesedi House Inc. and the families of Karabo Mokoo and Ndou "DeGoat" Maxwell have become aware of several upcoming book publications concerning the inspiring journey undertaken by the Gauta BMX cyclists from Limpopo to Cape Town.

We wish to clarify that none of these authors or publishing houses have been authorized or mandated by the cyclists' families to document and publish their story. Furthermore, we understand that no royalty agreements have been established with the cyclists for these unofficial publications.

Lesedi House Inc. is the sole publisher mandated by the Mokoo and Ndou families (with the Mahlakwane family still in talks) to create and distribute a book detailing their remarkable expedition from Limpopo to Cape Town, as well as the broader narrative surrounding their lives and achievements. We have formal agreements in place that ensure Karabo Mokoo and Maxwell Ndou will receive appropriate royalties from this project.

Our team is currently engaged in in-depth interviews with the cyclists to ensure an authentic and comprehensive account of their journey and the important messages they champion. The official release date of this book will be announced in due course.

Lesedi House Inc. and the families of Karabo Mokoo and Maxwell Ndou express their sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support and warmth that South Africans have shown towards the cyclists throughout their incredible journey.
