It was such an incredible experience dining at the Jan Innovation Studio with my mom as a prelude celebration for my birthday next week. Here I am standing next to 3 of my photographs I created for Volume 3 printed by , framed and hanging in ‘s Jan’s Innovation Studio in Cape Town. My favourite part of this dining experience was most definitely the cheese tasting room. It was absolutely enchanting. I highly suggest booking online for this sensational food journey.

An ode to the humble bed. A place I like to rest, daydream, drink coffee, read, consume chocolate, cuddle my cat and to have quiet introspective thought. The bedroom is an integral part of the home and a place you can spend hours of your day in. This, making it an important space to put care and consideration into.

I have been searching for a travertine coffee table for about 4 years now. I finally came across one on Facebook Market Place and couldn’t believe that all of my hunting and searching had finally paid off. When I received this long lost treasure, it was even more beautiful in real life than in the photographs and just needed some serious TLC. One of the main issues I had with it, was that it smelled like cigarette smoke. Travertine is a natural stone and is very porous and had obviously soaked in the scent of the previous owners smoking habit. After a lot of time researching, I left out three jars of vinegar on and around the table over several days, as well as wiping it down every day with a light water and baking powder mixture. This worked wonders and I managed to get the smell completely out. Now came the really fun part, styling this beautiful table in my new home. I can spend hours curating, until I find harmony between the objects. This piece fits in so perfectly into my home and I’m so excited to be able to share these photographs with you all that capture my styling in pure joy. 🤍
